Made with Nespresso
Made with Nespresso.
Nespresso gets a bad rap from environmentalists for using aluminium pods as its coffee capsules. But, to be fair, the company goes to great lengths to make sure every pod and its contents are fully recycled. Used coffee grounds go to organic farms that grow vegetables. Aluminium capsules go to recycling plants to be turned into new products. Nespresso pods are the raw materials for all kinds of things.
Our task was to convey this in a captivating way, with the small event space our client had given us. Our idea: create an exhibition made entirely of Nespresso—pods, grounds, all of it. We collaborated with local fashion designers and farmers, who repurposed the aluminium and coffee grounds in eye-catching ways. The manifesto I wrote was a key factor in winning this pitch, and gave our clients the confidence that we understood their brand.
